Over the years I have often been told to re-create Tanha Dil and have explored various ideas however with a sensing need to address #ClinicalDepressionAwareness I wanted to write a song on this issue. As I started to write the song, the phrase “Tanha Dil, Tanha Safar” seemed like the perfect fit. This new song that is extremely close and personal to me is also the need of the hour. People are unaware of medical depression, and they need to be educated about it, so it can be understood, accepted and cured, like any other medical condition.
The video is a journey of an Individual who is trapped in a state of Clinical Depression. And how the individual must firstly acknowledge this condition, and then accept that one needs to put up a strong fight, and that, there’s no stigma in seeking professional help.
